Responsible for management and development impact of large and complex engineering programs funded by USAID/Bangladesh involving design, implementation, quality control, and administration of technical projects. Activities included: project design, implementation monitoring, contract administration, coordination, liaison with host government and other donors, for various programs including construction of roads, bridges, buildings, warehouses, disaster shelters, school buildings, flood protection structures, etc. The project implementations were undertaken by government agencies, engineering firms, U.S. based Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs), as well as local community based organizations. The programs included over 9,000 miles of rural earthen road construction including bridges and culverts, over 1,200 miles of rural road asphalt pavements, about 1000 reinforced concrete bridge construction and about 400 school-cum-flood shelter constructions.
